That is a video post. To make a thumbnail would require piefed.nl to read the video and copy one of the frames from the video. This would make the server work hard and we don’t want that.
Just thinking out loud: wouldn’t it be possible to re-use the preview image the video server provides?
Couldn’t l do that reading part myself and then upload it as a thumbnail ?? I do it for YouTube and spectra !!
Yes, if someone added that functionality to PieFed.
Many parts of PieFed are still incomplete. You are finding many gaps :)
A thumbnail is supposed to be an image of certain specifications with a ▶️ button, so that the video plays when it’s clicked, right ???🤔🤔

It’s fine.
But, there are many many small (and big) things like that which could be improved, if there was enough developers and money. We’re doing this with no money and almost no developers. So don’t be surprised :)
