he needs to get over it. it was crap.

it wasn’t his fault, and he did a great job with what he had. I mean-- I don’t have any issue with anything he did in the final (or any) season. it was just a writing/story problem. I don’t have an issue with any of the performers.

but season 8 was a huge let-down. and it has nothing to do with him, so I don’t get why he’s so touchy about it, especially 7 years later.

“Themes are for eighth grade book reports.”

That doesn’t sound like the type of person who has a whole lot of love and care for the material he’s adapting. Or even a willingness to understand.

It’s not a wonder the show unraveled the moment Martin’s writing ran out of track.
