Did you know that 1 in 5 car crashes involve a drunk driver? That means that in 4 out of 5 crashes, everyone is completely sober! It is way safer to drive while intoxicated! Pour yourself another cup, it’s the only way to be responsible.

They have a resealable top. The library is most likely concerned about spills. Most of them have a no cans policy.

In my experience the library is often visited by homeless people because it’s free entertainment. A lot of the homeless people around my area are also alcoholics and have you ever tried to take alcohol away from an alcoholic. It’s not easy.

if that were the case they could just write “no canned beverages” or “no drinks without resealable lids” etc. there’s no reason to bring booze into it at all. so if that was their intent then this is really poor communication.

I assume VT is like what I’ve read about the USA where people can’t walk around outside with open alcohol.

Other canned drinks can just be brought out when you’re leaving, but you need to try to conceal beer. That’d lead to unnecessary spills.
