I try to remind myself we are all products of our socialization, and women are immersed in patriarchy as much as anyone else in our society

Some folks reject and then have to unlearn as much of it as possible, some people internalize it and even build identity around it as a way of surviving in a society that sees them as lesser :(

(And of course some people get significantly more or less patriarchal socialization in their early life, folks dont all start from the same place)

Being a “pick me” (and by this I don’t mean women specifically, but anyone who puts down their owm category to gain the affection of those who hate them) is VERY advantageous, unfortunately. It lets mediocre people become instantly popular with little to no effort

Ironically, Sabrina Carpenter is a misogynistic woman and in this photo she was reacting to a different culture in the most racist way possible.

Misogyny is the first bigotry and the model for all the others. Misogyny is universal on the right, and common on the left. It’d be amazing if women din’t internalize it. Misogyny is their material condition.
