didn’t see the confirmation that they’re children in the wiki, can you post where you found that? it would be unusual for children to live alone in an apartment together (see “In Popular Media” of the wiki page)

also, the later quote from the creator:

A last thought: If Jim and I had created Bert and Ernie as gay characters they would be inauthentic, coming from two straight men. However, I have now learned that many view them as representative of a loving gay relationship. And that’s pretty wonderful. Thanks for helping me understand.

        Quit being a damn weirdo.

Also quit pretending that you don’t know how to go get information.

i have not been able to find a source for this claim and i provided a piece of information that would seem to indicate that they are not kids. what do you want from me?

it’s a kids show, but that doesn’t mean each character, is, in turn, a child. is that what you’re trying to imply?

i’d like to see confirmation, because otherwise you’re coming off lowkey homophobic here, along the same lines as when people think being attracted to twinks is pedophilia. respectfully, i would appreciate it if you wouldn’t claim these things about a vulnerable population without something more substantive to support it

It’s so fucking weird to for an adult to consider the gayness of 2 puppet characters that are meant to be about 5 years old.
