PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (CBS12) — A small plane crashed shortly after takeoff onto the lawn of a Pembroke Pines psychiatric hospital, authorities said.

Officers with the Pembroke Pines Police Department say the plane went down just north of South Florida State Hospital at 800 E. Cypress Drive.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cessna plane crashed after taking off from North Perry Airport at around 11:30 a.m.

All occupants were conscious and breathing, though firefighters said two injured adults were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood as trauma patients.
