A small aircraft appeared to have struck the tallest building in China’s capital on Friday afternoon, in a shocking incident in one of the world’s most fortified cities.
Dramatic footage from Beijing posted on social media showed debris falling from the 109-story CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, as well as a tail section of the plane and a broken window of a taxicab on the ground.
A CNN journalist witnessed people evacuated from the skyscraper gathering on the streets near the entrance, along with firetrucks, police cars and an ambulance.

What are modern fortifications? I’m honestly asking, not trying to make a point.
The invisible kind are things like heavy large planters, those annoying posts that are always where you wanted to walk, those restrict vehicle movement and ramming ability, electeonic survailance tech stashed everywhere to identify or possibly counter UAVs, underground parking garages or other underground basmets that can act as a garrison and cover in the event of bombardment, that kind of thing.
And yet they never collapse.

This seriously confuses me. Are they reporting this because a non Chinese citizen saw it and couldn’t block it fast enough? There’s been like 40 massive factories set on fire in the last 4 months by pissed off workers not getting paid and about a dozen acts of revenge against society attacks running kids over with their car. Haven’t seen a single thing about it in world news.
