Did you know Don’t Forget is about the Roaring? “When the light is subsumed by shadow” = “when the light is running low”. “When the fountains fill the sky” = “when the shadows start to grow”. There’s also “There’s a light inside your soul that’s still shining in the cold” Lancer says he’s cold before turning to stone in chapter 2, and during the Roaring all the darkners turn to stone, and the soul literally has the ability to make light as seen in Chapter 4, the same chapter where a titan was summoned, something that happens during the Roaring.

I’m almost certain Raise up your bat could also play into this, but I’m not really clever enough to think about exactly how.
