Looking at the comments in this video, it’s really sad how Jones’s legacy has been erased so effectively.

He was the one who exposed the Bohemian Grove. He was talking about Clinton visiting Epstein Island on the Lolita Express ten years before anyone else knew who Epstein was. And he was correct that atrozines dumped into the water supply were causing tadpoles maturing in that water to develop hermaphroditic characteristics, which made them infertile (the source of the “turning the freaking frogs gay” quote).

His alcoholism and divorce really did a number on him. That Sandy Hook thing completely ruined his credibility (for the record, I agree that Sandy Hook did happen and AJ was wrong), to the point that “turning the freaking frogs gay” is the only thing anyone remembers about him, which is especially sad because he was right about those chemicals being responsible for decreased birth rates of frogs, just wrong about exactly HOW it was causing that outcome.

I guess it’s true what they say, being only part right is the same thing as being completely wrong.

was the one who exposed the Bohemian Grove.

As in he rented a kayak to paddle around a well known location where rich and powerful people have been meeting on the reg since the late 1800s? There were reporters for mother Jones and Spy magazine that did actual journalism and imbedded themselves for weeks in Bohemian Grove. Alex Jones was just the first person to make up lies and exaggerations about what he saw

He was talking about Clinton visiting Epstein Island on the Lolita Express ten years before anyone else knew who Epstein was.

The first mention of Epstein on inforwars was in 2015 about articles in the UK about the prince being connected with sexual assault along with person named Epstein. Alex jones has a history of just claiming he’s been talking about things forever, when in reality he just pulls up any tantalizing stories from regular news feeds everyone has access to.

he was correct that atrozines dumped into the water supply were causing tadpoles maturing in that water to develop hermaphroditic characteristics, which made them infertile (the source of the “turning the freaking frogs gay” quote).

It’s not being dumped in the water supply, it’s agricultural run off. Misunderstanding and misrepresentating data from an environmental paper does not make you a prophet.

it’s true what they say, being only part right is the same thing as being completely wrong.

Reinterpreting news and scientific data to purposely mislead your audience into believing some vast conspiracy is out to get everyone is what makes him an asshole.

give me a fucking break dude. His legacy was only “conspiracy nutter” and he has no one to blame but himself for the notoriety he now has. When your entire brand is conspiracy nutter your only job is to rile up your listeners and totally ignore all nuance.

And he was correct that atrozines dumped into the water supply were causing tadpoles maturing in that water to develop hermaphroditic characteristics, which made them infertile (the source of the “turning the freaking frogs gay” quote).

Firstly atrazine isn’t “dumped” into the water supply. It’s an herbicide used in farming that can get into groundwater via runoff.

Secondly, those results have not been robustly reproduced. As of 2016 only 8 of 24 non-industry-funded studies found statistically significant harmful effects in the wild, and could not isolate effects to atrazine from any other enviromnetal stressors.

Well when you’re a conspiracy theorist that makes 1000s of predictions, yes every once in a while you might be right.

I didn’t read the comments but Jones has always been a grifter. Let his legacy rot and go listen to Knowledge Fight(RIP) if you want to see truly what a piece of shit he is.

He also has a frustratingly good scene in Waking Life where I agree with everything he says even though he’s a terrible person.
