This article is bullshit…

compares framework to
Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus,
“strange: it doesn’t compete.”
“strange: my local burger shop won’t compete with mcdonalds.”
“strange: the super market around the corner doens’t have as high sales as unilever. perhaps people don’t like local food.”
“I’m just asking questions!”
I’d buy one if I needed a laptop, but my current laptop still works just fine. its not my fault that a $500 laptop from 6 years ago came witn 16GB of memory and a 4.20 GHz Intel chip that can do literally everything I need a laptop to do today.
or maybe i should just buy stuff to prove a point.
Same boat here. My workplace gave me my old laptop when they upgraded me. It’s not great, but I don’t need it for much. Just browsing the internet.
Kind of a ridiculous take that ignores reality given that they’ve been selling out fast. How’s that possible if nobody ia buying them?
I bought two
Weird flex.
Lol I’m kidding. Seriously, you’re doing good work helping them (and, by extension, the rest of us) out.
I like the Framework laptops a lot. Especially the love for Linux support. And how easy it is how to fix or replace components of including the cool swappable USB modules (hdmi, display port, USB c) around the laptop.
The modules is why I want one so badly. But, alas, money is getting in my way.
Just don’t eat for 3 weeks.
We joke, but I actually did cut down my intake. Not in order to save up for the Framework, but in order to survive. Maybe after the heat wave, I can go back to a normal eating schedule. After all, this is just a temporary wave, and not permanent global warning… Right? …Right?
Well…
Oh, so you’re the reason they are sold out…
Sorry
I don’t have one, because I can’t afford one. Then when I finally save enough to buy one, they’re [shocked pikachu] sold out. So I wait for production to catch up to demand. But then, my car decides to make that noise that costs a shitton or my ac decides cold==hot or whatever. Rinse and repeat. But I guarantee you, Framework laptops are absolutely in demand.
Yeah my next laptop will be a framework, coming from Apple currently.
