Regarding the whole chat-control thing that is comming up again: is Signal also a messenger that is in danger of being controlled or is this just affecting the already bad choises like WhatsApp and so on?

AFAIK chatcontrol 1.0 is about Facebook and stuff, exempting encrypted messengers.
For now
They write it makes it legal to add message scanning client side however.
one can only hope :) i dont want to look for anothe messenger again 🙈
