I did take it once when my family was in town visiting, but usually I just take muni (bus) instead. Honestly it’s the price that keeps me from using them. If there were a locals price (or something like, use clipper card = standard bus fare) then they’d be a realistic alternative
I don’t travel or commute anywhere near the cable car routes.
I did ride it once back in the 80s as a YOLO thing, but I don’t really remember anything about it.
I might appreciate the docent led-ride now that I’ve lived in the City for a couple of decades.
Seem to remember you could hop on if you held a Fast Pass, but that was a while back.
