I would recommend watching a few vids from or featuring Ed Zitron. He has been tracking the financial side of the “AI boom” we are currently in and it basically amounts to a race to corner the market like Google did during the .com bubble.
The primary difference is that the .com bubble created massive progress for Fiber Optic infrastructure, which we are still using today.
In the AI bubble, they are investing in data center build out which is much more limited in who has access and use for it. As well as the fact that, as technology progresses, the components inside these data centers (GPUs, processors, RAM, etc.) will need to be replaced at a massive cost.
