The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will no longer accept a form that transgender Ohioans have long used to update the gender marker on their driver’s license or state ID, a spokesman for the bureau said Tuesday.

In order to make that change on their driver’s license or state ID, a transgender person will now be required to update the gender marker on their birth certificate and present that document at the BMV.
