BMW adds a human touch to driverless parking at CES 2024

BMW’s Remote Valet is one premium feature we’d pay for.

@arstechnica@mastodon.social Je trouve le concept vraiment à la fois intéressant et giga drôle. On dirait une solution steampunk au problème de la conduite autonome.

@arstechnica@mastodon.social When I saw that photo, my immediate thought was that the “human touch” in driverless parking was “parking under a tree with very, very many birds.”

What, does it go through your glove compartment and change the seat position?

@arstechnica@mastodon.social Or maybe let them share the details and you decide if this is cool with you or not? I personally won’t do any subscriptions in my car. But that is me. Let people decide for themselves is subscriptions are OK. (I agree though that subscription everything is one of the worst trends in the last 10 years.)

@arstechnica@mastodon.social I mean… I’ve seen what happens when there’s lag in a video game, so I am not excited to see the results IRL too?
