your account got suspended? What happened :o
I think that’s fine. You should probably keep using Reddit, that is the direction they are going

6·3 years agoyeah they’ll probably spin it how it’s good for the health of the site and better for end users, blah blah blah…

Technology@lemmy.ml•📣 Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️English
51·3 years agois facebookification a word? I am so sad to see this happen as a long time user of Reddit, been on there for…god, 11 years according to my profile awards. I see a lot of people saying this is the end of Reddit but I have to disagree, it is more like a new age. Reddit will now only be used by people who are fine with getting absolutely fucked with ads and close to nil moderation. I imagine it will be a husk of what it once was - it’ll look the same but I’m sure it will just be repost land. It wasn’t hard to see this coming, but I can’t help but feel a sadness.
Do I need to go outside more? Probably.

I can say first hand I was confused on how to sign up. I tried joining lemmy.ml and wrote up an application which never got approved. After browsing for a few days I figured out I could sign up on any instance and found lemmy.ca, my people. lol. My application got approved very quickly there.
I doubt most people will be able to figure this out as it’s not intuitive and perhaps give up and move on to somewhere else. :(

Me too. I read it was a known bug but I don’t have the link handy. I hope it’s fixed soon
