Tesla has no reason to be that high. I really really really want it to crash.

5·2 months agoI think in some cases it is far more than a marginal increase. I make just $120k at one of my jobs but I could make $400k+ at a job for a company far less ethical. Hell, a guy I know hit $700k one year at Ye Olde Meta (that did include exercising options though).
The allure of being able to retire early is nice. But instead of seeking high paying jobs I just mix and match multiple low paying ones from smaller companies and achieve roughly the same thing with less stress.

1·2 months agoInteresting. I have 5gbps fiber so I wonder if it’d be good. I’m just struggling to understand how it could be, lol. I don’t really game anymore though. Thanks for the reply!

10·2 months agoI genuinely don’t believe that will ever happen, but the death or killed will.
But, happy to be wrong.

When I started watching them (and he isn’t even done yet), I expected it to be bad because of PayPal. It is…so. much. worse.
Absolutely vile practices and I look forward to lawsuits from all angles against them.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The whole "toilet seat up, toilet seat down" gender debate could be solved by everybody putting the seat and lid down.
15·2 months agoA quick internet search shows that having the lid up or down doesn’t matter for bathroom surface contamination
Damn, I want one, lol. I sometimes have shit stacked like 3 high…

1·2 months agoThe best moment that I will never forget is when one pastor told me that I ask too many questions and that I just need to have faith.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you met a Christian that sold/gave up everything they owned?
27·2 months agoAbout 20 years ago when I was heavy into Christianity I donated everything I had and then some (well into debt…) thinking that I would somehow be rewarded by god.
Well, guess what, nothing.
Mentors and pastors said I needed to pray more and read the Bible more and seek guidance more. I peaked at attending church three times a week and bible studies 1-2 times a week.
Still nothing.
Long story short, fuck religion, I left and never looked back. I’m 1000% happier, less depressed, and continue to be reasonably generous.
This might be my favorite one.
Not defending one way or the other, but the existence of a Claude rules file doesn’t really mean much?
Half my jobs have them in every single repo, because AI use is encouraged for productivity.
What isn’t acceptable is just letting the produced code be merged in without understanding, reviewing, and testing.

I’ll believe that when I see it, too.
