homeassistant@lemmy.world•Best camera and doorbell setup for home security?English
4·4 months agoI’m happy with my Reolink doorbell camera I just put in after my Nest doorbell gave up the ghost. Home Assistant has the integration for it. I just put a 256 gig SD card in the back of the device and set it up with the Home Assistant. Did not opt for the vendor’s cloud storage services. A few Google / YouTube search’s helped a lot.

2·6 months agoOne recommendation for your home server is Immich [https://immich.app/]. I’ve got it running in a docker container and there is an associated android app for your phone. Every time I take a photo it automatically gets synced to my home server.
Hanging out with neighbours on the front porch with the BBQ blazing on the driveway. Hot dogs, Hamburgers, good company, and good spirits. Happy Canada everyone! So glad this is where I live. 🇨🇦✌️

North of North is a cute lighthearted show I’d recommend.
Hi. Once the weather improves could there be some way we could document local farmers markets across the country? Buying local is the best thing we could do for our farmers, we just need to harness this platform to make the information available. 🇨🇦

Maybe Pivpn ? Yes, you’ll need a small raspberry Pi, but then you can have it run wireguard to access all your home server gear. And then you have the added feature of putting Pinhole on there as well. Works for me here.
