I just read them all over the past few weeks and enjoyed the series! So +1 recommendation :)

19·2 days agoit worked for me, they refunded me the remaining days in my subscription without problems.

1·10 days agoJust finished Children of Strife, and I really enjoyed the series! I liked the first book, and now the last one the most :) The middle 2 were really cool as well.

I read Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky which I enjoyed. I now started Children of Ruin, also by him.

It’s cool, he made me root more for the spiders than the humans :) but it all turns out nice fortunately. I am not that far into the second book, but I think it’s interesting so far
I just read “Brightly Shining” by Ingvild H. Rishøi. I suppose its more suited to read in wintertime, but it’s such a good book.
Alcoholism is a theme, just fyi.
I discovered it via Dua Lipa’s Book Club, which imo is worth checking out.
Just finished Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.
There was only one cringey moment I can remember:

“No, I won’t,” said Stratt.
The bailiff walked forward. “Ma’am. I’ll have to restrain you if you don’t comply.”
“You and what army?” Stratt asked.
Five armed men in military fatigues entered the courtroom and took up station around her. “Because I have the U.S. Army,” she said. “And that’s a damn fine army.”
Idk it just seems a bit shoved in there.
Otherwise I liked it a lot :)
1·1 month agoYeah I was rooting for Canada in the olympics final as well
but Finland played very fair imo, so props to them! In the games against Norway and Sweden it was much rougher.

huh. According to the commentators very disappointing game by canada so far, but in the end they still make 2 goals. Now that’s impressive haha
