I try to self-host a lot of stuff these days, and have become a big fan of FreshRSS. VERY Google Reader-like.

Technology@kbin.social•PowerDeleteSuite is a quick and easy way to purge / mass update your Reddit Comments before the API changes come in effect.
2·2 years agoReddit will almost certainly restore your deleted content. I am keeping my account just so I can purge it again and again, as long as I can…

1·2 years agoThat doesn’t work very well if I use several (and several mobile) browsers though…
BoxOfSnoo@kbin.socialto/kbin meta@kbin.social•Can NSFW images and links *please* be hidden from the sidebar?
22·2 years agoI would like a way to totally remove the sidebar, I don’t want or need random anything. Wouldn’t that make page generation faster as well?
BoxOfSnoo@kbin.socialtoGaming@kbin.social•Which Bluetooth game controller is great for all devices?
5·2 years agoThe Xbox controllers are amazing. IMO the best triggers (especially for racing), and a hugely popular button layout. Clips are easy to find. Explicitly supported by iOS (although you can actually use any Bluetooth controller with iOS, it’s just really not obvious)
BoxOfSnoo@kbin.socialto/kbin meta@kbin.social•How can I block an entire instance on kbin?
2·3 years agoAlmost exactly what I would have written!
I wish you didn’t have to see a magazine you don’t want to see to block it
BoxOfSnoo@kbin.socialto/kbin meta@kbin.social•Can we stop showing NSFW subs on the sidebar?
11·3 years agoI’d like to totally disable the sidebar. I don’t need random posts, especially if it’s this kinda stuff I don’t want to see.
I can not find how to do that! I see in my profile there is a “domains” under blocked, but it’s empty and I can’t see how to add one. Where can I find block for a domain?
Yeah me too. I added a block in my pi-hole setup to the whole Reddit domain. That may get removed later for search results reasons… maybe.
FreshRSS is amazing. Super powerful. I used to use tt-rss but it was unstable, limited in its clients (API emulation) and a very hostile developer.
