Yeah on top of ruining city centers, it’s made it hard to find housing in a lot of places. I move around the US every 6-8 months for fun with my dog cuz I’m a young dumb bartender, and since the surge in people gobbling up homes for Airbnb profits, it’s just getting harder to find dog friendly homes for short term lease. I really wish they’d limit Airbnb home ownership like Atlanta did.

3·3 years agoI am subscribed to Ukraine on sopuli.xyz and memes in lemmy.ml and a few others on Lemmy.world and they all show up in my feed, so I’m now more confused. Am I viewing several instances or not? Lmao
Many big corps went cashless during covid. I worked for Vail ski resorts last winter and they only accepted card. Employees were not allowed to accept cash. One of my coworkers got fired for taking cash and putting charges on his own credit card for points lol. Really weird policy and I agree it should not be allowed.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you believe Lemmy/Mastodon can become mainstream and fully replace their centralized counterparts?
3·3 years agoI’m wondering the same thing. I just chose Lemmy.world cuz it sounded like a bigger community lol

2·3 years agoYou’re right about the apps coming great, I just downloaded Connect for Lemmy and it took all of 5 minutes for me to transition from baconreader. This app is smooooth too. What other apps are there though?

I get your point but as an American I’ve never heard of converting feet to chains or furlongs? Lol sounds like pirate measurements to me
