5·16 days agoNew layout is way easier to view on my phone. current temp, feels like, max temp, rain ml all immediately visible for my local area. And a big old button to push me down to a scrollable rain radar. Easy.

The company I was working for offshored all our jobs to Manila. To be fair the only reason I got the job was because the people we were replacing had their jobs out sourced to us. Just corpo shit.

I kinda had to accept that Lemmy wouldn’t have the same hooks to trigger impulsive scrolling because Lemmy isn’t a corporation desperate to mine you for every ounce of data you can provide.
Also took me a while to find a group of communities with content I like.
I sometimes reinstall Reddit just see what’s happening over there, whenever I open it, it feels like I’m being inundated with ads, both obviously and via the ingenuine comment threads.

13·2 months agoI love the people selling their cars. Why are you selling your car? In what twisted logic does it make any sense? You think Jesus is worried about your cash holdings? Does heaven have an entry fee?
They decided to wait and see if Trump won, and if Homan then accepted bribes. It would be a much more airtight case. So the Biden people handed the investigation off to the Trump people, no doubt holding out the vain hope that the career people would persuade the political people that someone taking a bag of cash was something that ought to be investigated.
The fucking ineptitude of the Liberal elites never ceases to amaze me.
I love that they had to publish an explainer article for everyone in Australia under the headline:
