Just newline characters for formatting - it’s possible that whatever app you’re using doesn’t properly support the markdown. I had issues with that on Sync before switching to Thunder.

Oh absolutely, I did not mean to imply RCV is the end-all-be-all. STAR is my preferred voting system, but if it’s RCV vs pure plurality , I’d much rather have RCV.

Alaskan here - we’ve had RCV since 2020, and this year there was a ballot measure to remove it… Can’t have shit in this country 😒. Being too “confusing” has been the only argument against it I’ve heard (AKA, no actual substantial argument against it.) Oh, and I guess that we elected a Democrat for House Rep because of it. Definitely can’t have that.

Alaskan here - this is what I’m most afraid of. I can’t tell you how many coworkers (who are conservative) have bitched and moaned about how “That’s the only reason Peltola [D] won!”

It’s extremely evident that they simply don’t understand the system, nor do they want to. They’ve latched onto it as “the thing that made their pick lose” and so it must die.

It’s probably in reference to The Hobbit movies - which were…less than great.
