I personally have had the ErgoChair Plus with the naked black TPE (No cushion) for the past 5(?) years and it’s been holding up great.

Autonomous makes some nice chairs that are in your price range

I’m specifically referring to my sim racing gear. Its drivers and accompanying software are not supported by Linux and have no plans to ever be supported by Linux.
