3·7 months agoThanks for letting me know, I honestly discovered the crossposting option like, a few days ago lol. It probably didn’t help that I accidentally crossposted this to the wrong community at first.

Listen To This (MOVED TO LEMMY.ZIP)@lemm.ee•Crispin Glover - Clowny Clown Clown [Avant Garde/Dark Cabaret] (1989)
1·8 months agoFollow up to this post: In the video, Glover makes reference to a man named Mr. Far, followed by a shot of himself wearing the outfit he wore on a (sort of) famous episode of David Letterman. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm2CbuTdTtE The episode aired on July 28, 1987, and the “Clowny Clown Clown” music video is from 1989, according to the video in the OP. Also, Mr. Farr’s full name is Rubin Farr, and Glover played him in the movie Rubin & Ed (1991), which I have not seen but I think I probably will now.

1·8 months agoI kind of like that Bandcamp allows proper embedding with the track.
I got banned from Reddit once lol. I just deleted the cookies in my browser and then made a new account and it worked.
I don’t actually use the app, tho

11·2 years agoExcuse my ignorance but I can’t find the search function in qB that you’re talking about. Assuming I have downloaded the most recent version of qB, where would I find it?

6·2 years agoYeah, I recently used Soulseek for the first time and it’s been great but those chat rooms are shit. Honestly though I’m not using it for chat so after I checked it out and made the same discovery you did, I decided there was nothing to gain there anyway.
Piracy in general is a pretty mixed bag but I don’t think those chatrooms represent the community at large. Usually the worst thing people in this community do is just refuse to be helpful. And there are a lot of very generous people who keep this whole thing going.
