This came out of nowhere. I think everybody was expecting Dreamworks to make it with the “How To Train Your Dragon Team.” This is such a stepdown from that and my hopes aren’t high if this guy’s only bragging rights are that God awful Uncharted movie.

TikTok’s biggest problem is that it pays people through a very limited pool of money that shrinks the more people become a part of it. It’s pretty good pay if you live in a poorer country but it’s pennies if you live in a developed one. Twitch is better but still lags behind Youtube. Facebook is said to pay as much if not a little more than Youtube but it’s also much easier to get demonetized or have your content removed on there than Youtube.

The Anglosphere has such a weird relationship with the family. On one hand they seem to talk about how lack of parents lead to crimes in the cities and how family is the most important support you can have. And then on the other hand they seem to either kick their kids out as soon as they can or their kids willingly leave, visiting maybe only a couple of times a year. No wonder Anglo countries have such high rates of loneliness and depression.

They’re always coming up with nicknames for black people. They tried using “Google” briefly to screw up the google algorithm and “Basketball American” was another one. Neither really ever caught on.

Not particularly shocking with Ecuador though. They’ve always been kind of bending over backwards for the US with Correa and his administration being a brief departure from that. I don’t really see anything changing for the country in the near future.

One thing I’ll never get over when visiting family in the US is seeing how strong military worship can be in some places. I remember going to some small rural town and having “US MARINE” bumper stickers or decals would have people honking their horns and a few going “YEAH! YOU’RE A HERO!” Another time a guy in a military outfit was buying groceries and some dad loudly said to his kid, “Go to that guy and tell him thank you for protecting us!”

Military people in my country are largely viewed as slackers or people too stupid to pick up a trade or go to school. The only people who do something similar to what I saw in the US are the far-right types that like the fashy aesthetic of it.

Democratic stronghold state showing once again that a Democratic Supermajority wouldn’t get shit done as much as the VOTE crowd likes to think it would bring the US to a new golden age.

Chapter 7 of Fire Emblem: Binding Blade is the biggest bullshit. So many reinforcements all at once and your units are complete ass missing 97% of the time and doing single-digit damage when they do manage to hit something.
