8·8 days agoI talked to some folks who worked at Laika a while back at a party. They loved working there. This was some years ago, and my memory is a bit beer soaked, but they seemed happy and proud of what they did.
we had pushed them past Panama.
Not even deregulation. we had a cheap efficient program that held screw worm out of north america. Basically we irradiated male grubs which sterilized them, then froze the fly’s and dropped them over an area to prevent them from breeding and spreading.
This was cut because we were operating outside the US and why should other countries also benefit from our tax dollars.
The dumbass ‘gubment bad’ crew fucked us all.
its about expectations. I grew up in California and have some specific expectations about Mexican food. they are different than if I was raised in Jalisco. I went to a “Mexican” restaurant in Budapest and their interpretation of Mexican food is VERRY different.

I am really impressed by the quality of print of this, I have tried 3d printing a bunch and am constantly impressed by what folks (not me) can get out of these machines.
At the same time I am confounded by what people choose to print. This geometry is waaaay simpler quicker cheaper to achieve without 3d printing.
also I can’t get this output, so…

6·15 days agoA table saw is not really needed for this sort of thing. A router with straight edge guides would work for dados for the shelves. Technically you could CTL with the router too, if you didn’t have a circular saw.

The reality is our OSs and the websites we visit know exactly who we are. They know our blood type, they know if you are pregnant before you do. Why would they need your ID?

Hence the hurdles they can put in front of the poors while they get to pay for fastpass to skip the line directly into the ivy leagues.
