It’s the norm now. Firefox already only has 3% market share, if they don’t keep up with modern features then they’ll probably just die out altogether. Doesn’t matter if it’s popular with FOSS evangelists or the anti-AI crowd, they’ll still use FF because it’s better than any alternative for their purposes.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Americans, what do typically have for breakfast?English
1·8 days agoThis, I don’t have time for breakfast almost any day of the week, including weekends.
Abysmal take. Chocolate ice cream with frozen peanut butter swirled in is proof that god loves us.

Media piracy is always a great backup option for when corpos get too greedy
This must be an old ass post, $1200 for a 1-bedroom is cheap in most US cities now.
It is, it’s important to dry them quickly. Some dishwashers have a heated dry that could help, but I wouldn’t trust it personally.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it racist to oppose illegal immigrants?English
7·27 days agoIt’s not racist to take issur with illegal immigration.
It’s just not right to oppose the immigrants as people, or say that their situation is the result of some moral failing. These people make the best decisions for themselves and their families.
It becomes racist when you start attributing characteristics or behaviors to their race as fundamental attributes.

On Lemmy, everyone will say AMD. On the rest of the net most people will probably say Intel+Nvidia. Difference is just the software that’s available. I would go with the AMD one personally.
This is like every horror video on YouTube. Regardless of the quality, the comments are 90% glazing how scary it is.

41·1 month agoIt extremely is, unfortunately the whole space is still unregulated and 99.9% of coins are just vehicles for speculation and serve no real use as a financial product due to transaction speeds and fees.

My issue wasn’t getting pre-approved, it was being able to actually afford the mortgage amount I was pre-approved for. A lot of these companies don’t give a damn if you can actually afford the mortgages they offer, because they know you’ll either figure it out or go homeless trying.

Chatgpt is wrong here, sex is more like a series of bimodal bell curves measuring traits like gonad type, chromosomes, hormone levels, secondary sex characteristics, neurobiology, and probably some more I’m forgetting. For each trait, one bimodal peak can be labeled something like “typically male” and the other “typically female”. For instance, hormones would have “higher testosterone” for one peak and “higher estrogen” for the other. You can usually categorize male vs female by weighing where an animal falls on these bell curves across all traits, but that’s more of an art than a science, since the scientific perspective is more “sex is a composite profile” than “sex is a binary to be categorized”.
That’s why you always hear people say 'it’s a spectrum" or “it’s socially constructed”, because that’s the easiest way to explain it in simple terms (even if it is non-descriptive and annoying to hear as a shibboleth)

Why? Isn’t it already opt-in? It doesn’t force you to use it, and the button to disable it just hides it from the menu.
