I use dirvish a text based cron enabled rsync front end. Read dirvish.org for details about it.
I use this to clone and hold time based backups to external disks which I can verify or use offsite.
Rock solid for years.

Aldiko saves your progress in epubs you are reading. I use Calibre to organize various collections.
Haven’t seen one that uses a cloud service.

I wholly agree. I’ve moved across a few platforms which made me post less and less each time. Can’t wait to eventually host my own data and never move it all again.
Just trying the jerboa android app and finding it 100% usable. Does all I need and easily replaced my RiF reddit app.

2·3 years agoChordata is a simple but powerful application that analyses the chords of any music file in your computer. As a musician it helps to figure out chords and notes in music samples or songs.
Old SW but runs ok on Win10 or in Wine.
