As a cashier with 2 years of experience I can confirm this happens every week







I’m not saying the duct detector is in a bad location, but the test switch is. Its that little white box to the right of the detector. The main purpose of installing a test switch is so that you don’t have to get a ladder/lift to test the duct detector, but can instead trip a detector remotely. There’s no way to really set off the test switch by accident as it needs a fire alarm key to activate.
