I second the EMDR. Either that or TF-CBT. They are the flagship therapies for trauma and have real evidence they work.

What about trying a pressure vest? Like a thunder jacket, dog anxiety vest, thunder shirt, that kind of thing. The pressure is supposed to calm dogs nerves. You could also talk to the vet who could prescribe medication for her.

News@lemmy.world•US agency will not reinstate $900 mln subsidy for SpaceX Starlink unit
5·2 years agoI wouldn’t say this is quite true. I live in a rural area and I need to connect to the Internet using my phone’s hotspot for work. I have a surprisingly large number of homes I go into that I can’t get enough of a cell signal with Verizon to make this work. It causes me no end of headaches.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What movie scared you shitless when you were a child?
6·2 years agoLittle shop of horrors (the musical). I was maybe 5 when I saw it. I was terrified of plants for a while afterwards, which was a problem because I lived on a farm.
What would you recommend instead for now, while we wait for boost?

Your brain stores different information different places. So read the information, hand write the information, say the information out loud, put the information in your own words, make it colorful, draw it, etc. Gives you more that one area to recall the information in your brain. Also, repetition. Don’t just store it once and hope you remember it.
