That sounds like The Trunk Space! Though, I think they lost their church spot last year. I think TV Girl and AJJ were my favorite shows there. They also held a Desert Trash festival years ago.

3·30 days agoI heard there was a bug that bayonet kills weren’t being counted. We completed the order once they fixed the glitch. I stabbed a lot of voteless.

5·1 month agoI like minesweeper, but the guesswork is frustrating. Fortunately other games have improved the concept. Hexcells removes the guesswork and adds more logic elements.
Dragonsweeper still requires some luck, but it has some interesting mechanics you can figure out on the end game screen. Also it’s free! https://danielben.itch.io/dragonsweeper
It’s about the same in Arizona, USA. Starbucks 16oz Pumpkin Spice latte is $6.76. A local specialty coffee shop currently has a White Pumpkin latte for about $7.83 after tax. I think it’s a 16oz. The regular lattes are maybe a dollar cheaper.

Linux@lemmy.world•TIL (and so should you) about: xeyes -biblicallyAccurateEnglish
6·2 months agoI didn’t know about xeyes. Neat. The switch isn’t recognized on 1.1.2.
I am also unsure what its use case is. I can usually get it to p 80-90% power, but it still takes several shots to kill large things. The plasma cannon fills the “charged anti-tank” role better.
It’s decent at crowd control, but isn’t as consistent or easy to use as a grenade launcher.
It seems like a weapon that tries to fill multiple roles but isn’t great at any of them. I still use it occasionally, but I rarely think “I’m glad I brought this.”

2·2 months agoI saw it in IMAX. It looked good. It sounded good too, though the sound track was anxiety inducing. But in a purposeful way. Benicio Del Toro was great. Sean Penn was unsettling and I will never hear a certain Christmas song the same way again.

5·2 months agoNice buffs for the Necromancer.
It’s a good video. Matt Colville (design director) even recommended it in his video.
I’ve been following the game for several years. It’s got a lot of cool stuff. I’ve convinced some friends to try it out next week.

Casual Conversation@piefed.social•I have a video series idea but don't know if anyone would watch
3·3 months agoTravel videos are expensive. Have you made entertaining videos before? Creating engaging videos requires a lot of effort. I would start by making small videos with low production cost. If you can gain a following there you’ll have an easier time gauging interest and effort required to make the Amtrak videos.
Yeah, so you girlies wanna get with this nit-wit? Got Cheez Whiz or not? Then I might have to blow up your mailbox, biatch Or toilet-paper your front yard Show the cops my suburbs card They got to let me go, 'cause they know that I’m hard It’s the deal, it’s for real You better listen what I’m telling you 'Cause I’m a wannabe gangstar

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•'It's like being in Greece': The US neighbourhood where cars are banned
9·3 months agoFun fact: Tempe is named after The Vale of Tempe in Greece.
I visited Culdesac last year to see CityNerd and Urban Phoenix Project talk about urban development. It’s a neat place. If it existed 10 years ago I would have liked to live there. Going car free in Phoenix is definitely a challenge but I’m glad some people are willing to try it.
Same. I got a Hario Switch for Christmas and it’s replaced the AeroPress as my daily driver.

Helldivers 2@lemmy.ca•Just Finished My First Mission... Now What?English
3·8 months agoCongratulations. 1 accidental friendly fire is within acceptable parameters.

It’s a great game. It’s amazing how many problems you can solve by hijacking a nearby ship and ramming it into your target.
Getting a time dilation device and blitzing across a dozen rooms to your target feels like an action movie scene.
It feels like an immersive sim but you can finish a mission in 5 minutes.
