Thinking about things in terms of contradictions is useful. I use it daily when problem solving at my job, or just thinking about stuff I observe during my day. Helps prevent binary black/white thinking. For example, why are certain people acting this way? What contradictions are governing their life? Utilizing the base and superstructure model some1 else posted helps with this.

I listened to the Putin speech where he referenced 1917. I know he’s not a fan of the Bolsheviks, but it seems he took issue with the violence of the civil war and the incompetence of the Empire than the actions of the Bolsheviks, at least that’s my reading of it.

Tons of things like others have said. Gardening, dancing, fashion, romance, R&B, Opera, growing my hair out, wine, healthy food. I don’t really even consider these unmanly, but I know many do for a cis hetero man.
