1·1 year agoI don’t get the optimism vs ambitious feud.
I believe you think that DIS is the most optimistic because of its emphasis on emotional depth.
And I guess we can agree that the part of ambitiousness is a default of startrek for as long as it involves creatures from all kinds of worlds building teams and manage to work together. Basically for as long as the federation aka starfleet is part of the story.
Then why is it not a problem if that ambitiousness is paired with “optimism” ?
A more multipolar world is worth a try, right?
If US is a mommy than she is herself still a teenager
I hope the US will be able to look in the ugly face in the mirror and turn the page to real protection of human rights and individual freedoms.

Actually I do what I like. I just never want to go back to a regular employment.
How about focusing on your own misery? Whats your justification to sit in a job that you hate?

What I’m trying to say is: nobody is forcing you to do a job that you hate. Nobody except the internalized worldview that you are only human if you can proof a professional career.
As far as I know work is voluntary

Has anybody ever wondered who is responsible for these megaprojects?
I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it’s European and American architects and planing offices that do the planing according to the wishes of the client.
How convenient, they can move people around and are not even to blame.
