Who said anything about “preference” to an IBM distro? I used Linux mint, Ubuntu, manjaro, arch, opensuse in the past, so there’s definitely no preference to IBM.

1·2 years agoYeah it gets better after season 1, but my point was about the whole pre-profiling and predicting potential criminal acts before they are actually executed by utilizing advanced surveillance and interconnected systems. We live in a modern digital age where this is no longer a fantasy, but slightly possible to some extent.

Why even collect telemetry? Almost 20 years of Fedora and now they add telemetry? IBM really turns companies they own to crap.
I totally agree. It’s a shame, Fedora really is an awesome distro. Adding telemetry was to be expected since IBM is the parent company of Red hat and almost anything IBM touches turns to crap.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it just me or did anyone else became a more avid poster since joining lemmy?
2·2 years agoThis is the way. Lol just kidding, welcome to Lemmy my friend.
It would be awesome if we have seamless integration between the lemmy instances, especially with data integrity and transfers from one instance to the other. I have faith that Lemmy will grow and have these advanced features… the devs are quite capable, we just have to be patient and support however we can.
Go to this website and pick a less crowded lemmy instance /node : https://the-federation.info/platform/73#drawer-opened
It’ll help load balancing performance wise.

6·2 years agoI predict slow performance for lemm.ee since many users are recommending it, just like how lemmy.world got recommended into oblivion and now has 70k users. Go to this website and pick a less crowded lemmy instance /node : https://the-federation.info/platform/73#drawer-opened
Ssshhh… Don’t give away our secret…jk This is how lemmy world got overloaded with users. Everyone recommending lemmy world should try recommending a list of smaller user base instances because now lemmy world has 70k + users and counting. Also there should be easier ways to just switch instances… Or a master guide or something since many users are brand new here, just like me and don’t know exactly how things work yet.

Who places their “kebord” vertical anyways? LOL, NICE TYPING, GOOD KEBORD
