7·3 years agoThey died by being crushed with enough pressure such that the air inside the sub ignited ie compressed so much it essentially exploded. Death was instant.
Less than 4 milliseconds. They didn’t feel a thing.
If you compress a gas enough it will get hot enough to ignite. Google “fire pistons”.
