Oh wow! We’re already getting the next arc in October… 2027? Oh boy. Okay.

Here’s an opinion: Whoever decided to reveal DLSS5 deserves a raise. By Nvidia’s standards, that is. Everyone is talking about that instead of discussing Nvidia’s engagement with Palantir. DLSS5 was a master stroke.

I just hope I wont get any more Chainsaw Man spoilers shoved down my throat. (I have most mangas in my shelf but didn’t get around to read most of them yet.) It’s unfortunate I can’t discuss the series with fans on the internet because the always post unprompted major spoilers. /rant end
Fuck AI though. Useful tech but society has ruined it in record time. And by society I mean mostly tech CEOs.

The fight with the dragons was fine but the Himmel flashback hit me right into the feels.
The irony of this is that
he got a hole punched through his body 5 minutes later into the episode and was fine 5 minutes after that.

As usual there is a lot to praise about in this episode. From the insane production quality to peak character dynamics between the groups. The way Stark helped Methode Genau out of his negative thinking patterns by literally being a stand up guy and a good friend was my personal highlight!
The demons on the other hand were underwhelming. Revolte waited for the group to split up and did literally nothing with this advantage. He later proved to be deceitful so why not attack a part of the group with full force? I’m starting to think demons are not cut out to be good antagonists as they are simply too stupid to win. Also, and I know I could get some flak for this but that attack should’ve killed Methode Genau and Stark right there and then. The fact that this risky move had no consequences is truly baffling. A fatal wound should at the very least leave a character unable to fight properly for another arc. This sets a bad precedent for future dangers our heroes will encounter because you can expect the plot armor to be miles thick and an overpowered cleric to jump into action just in time.
I hope this doesn’t sound too negative because I really like the show and the second season so far! I’m just wondering how I’m supposed to get invested in conflicts at this point. And if this isn’t what the show is really about then why spend so much time on it?
EDIT: I meant Genau, not Methode. Thanks @Crank

Yeah that whole thing was a terrible read. The hydra grew back more heads back in the day and it will continue to do so this time.

If they didn’t really want to sell it to people pirating it then nothing was lost.

They didn’t even make an effort to get most of the shows published in the west. Publishers always have to take it out of their hands and I doubt they’ll stop doing that because someone already pirated it. But even if they did, Anime studios only have themselves to blame. There’s no piracy problem, just a consumer experience problem.

This was beautiful! Especially how they merged the old style with the new. Way to celebrate an anniversary. Asuka being the 3rd child is a perfect fit for 3 decades of NGE.

So Revolte waited until the group split up just to… split up themselves? What was the point of this? The scenario seems constructed to me but I’ll wait until the fight is over before I make my final judgement.
That aside, does anyone else find Genau strangely relatable? He keeps telling himself that he doesn’t actually care but that seems like a defense mechanism and it’s actually crushing him slowly. Luckily, Stark seems like the perfect bro to pull him out of that hole somehow. Fingers crossed.
Impressive! All I’m seeing is a failed attempt at a pretzel, a whale and lots of butt holes.
There are several simulcast Anime on Netflix right now, though. They are getting better at it and give every kind of viewer something. I mean they even give you the date for the next episode so they’re clearly aware of your kind of viewer.
I guess that’s sadly true for the mid 2020s. I remember a time when seasons were one year apart and had 12 to 24 episodes. Everything takes a lot longer and costs a lot more in pretty much every single industry these days. All the while every industry relies on high tech a lot more too. It doesn’t seem to help with productivity at all, though. Quite the opposite.
