Trans rights are currently against tradition and the status quo, this makes trans rights a progressive topic until the day that trans people are so established in the history of a society that it can’t be argued being trans is some new disorder or something.

I hope that one day Trans rights will have been so established globally that to challenge them is anti tradition and uncouth

You can but there are real examples where mixing units results in failure. NASA lost a 125 million dollar mars probe in 1999 because JPL and NASA use metric but Lockheed Martin added acceleration data in American imperial units.

It might be a circle jerk but it is also best practice to use a standard system and there’s really only one holdout on not using that system. I say this as an American who wishes people would just use metric because it’s just easier unless you just fucking love fractions of an inch.

I feel like that scene with the Joker explaining how people react to others getting shot. Why list “trials, judges, reviews, juries, appeals” all of this as if it’s more than one thing that often times doesn’t work. Most of the convictions in the US are plea deals, they literally put you in a jail and tell you to say what they want or they’ll make things worse and the only way you can avoid this is to have money to make bail.

If your boss steals from your wages you have to jump through hoops to try and get it back and they don’t serve time. If you are accused of taking money from the company you are taken away by the state and put in jail till it can be proven you didn’t. You can’t expect me to trust that the system works in my favor when the system is clearly designed to not work in my favor.

I agree. I just can’t in good faith have a problem with Canadians wanting to not be invaded. Me being sorry and not being at fault doesn’t really change the situation for them and I feel for that.
