Right, if you ever see an poster or video anywhere, consider that the message was something someone felt was worth spending money on. And if it was a business, why would a business spend money unless it could somehow benefit its bottom line?

1·2 months agoIt’s a scary thought, like the first time I was confronted with statistics about literacy. Googling just now: 21% functionally illiterate (<5th grade reading level) and 54% read below a 6th grade reading level.
We all have different experiences, mine was likely brought on by circumstance as I was raised very conservative fundamental Christian. The lightbulb began to glow in highschool, then brighter in college, but I didn’t fully acknowledge it until later. Even then it took over a decade beyond that to come to terms with my own identity, but that’s a different story in a way.

1·2 months ago1000% but I’m honestly ok with it. I think the bigger thing is not having access to therapy or psychiatry as a child/young adult was more impactful. If id have figured me out at younger age I probably wouldve met more people and made more friends.

4·2 months agoSadly it’s not even limited to fanboys, just the completely oblivious. I was kinda shocked recently to explain to a work friend how idiotic musk is with receipts. He was perplexed, “… But he’s that smart tech billionaire, right?” Just taking the world at face value.

1·10 months agoThat’s fair, I can’t pretend it’s had a positive implication in a long time
Well until they actually repeal women’s suffrage this actually works in our favor weirdly enough. You’d think they’d be pushing their wives and daughters to vote, or to get to vote for them. How long til they propose family voting where they can “vote” for their kids.

13·10 months agoTo “un-americanise” the rest of the world. Im still salty that some people genuinely think he’s doing anything positive whatsoever.

I read a thing earlier where Musk was complaining about not feeling safe to go out in public since Kirk was shot. So there’s that.
