The wiki says that for the exploration score you only need to reveal all hidden doors, items, open all containers (except crystal chests), solve all puzzle rooms, complete sacrifice rooms, etc. You don’t need to explore boss rooms fully afaik.

Still a great run, I’ve also been aiming for a perfect score.

Closest I’ve been was a monk run with everything maxed except the boss score from getting hit by a dark bolt in the DK fight

A good idea would be to infuse your staff with your wand of corruption and then upgrade it

All enemies that follow you can be baited with grass as long as you keep hitting them
