You two are in agreement. They want more rail built as a viable alternative to driving. The ‘shame’ factor is just an advertisement for a superior method.

12·2 years agoHexbear is the only social media account I’ve ever made, so I didn’t really know how lib these other places could be. The accusations of being bots or Russian troll farmers is just… So fucking delusional to me. I can’t even believe that’s the most common sentiment.
Russiagate REALLY fucking broke people’s brains. McCarthyism with Democrat characteristics.

Painting my nails was one of those things early on that was an immediate hit for me.
It’s been years now and I still feel like you do when I see them after I’ve forgotten.
I hope you can hold onto it, too~

2·2 years agoWe’re all subject the cultural norms of the society that we live in. Particularly with religious norms, maintaining them can be coercive.
But that doesn’t mean that burkas, in and of themselves, are regressive.
Shouldn’t the goal be to create a space that is free of coercion so people can actually choose to wear it if they want to? Outright banning them is just enforcing a different cultural norm.

54·2 years agoCommies and fascists are the same thing because they do the violence. The reasons they do the violence is not relevant.
I, a good democrat, don’t do the violence. Those bodies that keep piling up in other (dirty, evil) countries during Democrat run governments are coincidental. All the funding I give to police departments totally aren’t related to the police blasting people in the streets daily. I know this because my ideology is totally not conservative.

I’d be curious to hear an actual Marxist analysis of Swift’s relationship to the means of production because it’s clearly different than the owner of a company.
For one, Swift is actually a major contributor the production and is actually necessary unlike CEOs. She also doesn’t have control of the stadiums that she performs at, so it’s harder to say that she’s profiting off of their surplus labor.
While it’s true that she obviously couldn’t do this stuff alone, I’d like to see an analysis sketched out for celebrities or prominent athletes in general.
