This is how my younger brother already is. Whenever something goes wrong, his first instinct is to open the ChatGPT app and ask it what to do.
Car engine making weird noises? Ask ChatGPT. Botched dinner recipe? Ask ChatGPT how to fix it.
Evidently, he sees nothing wrong with this, and does not consider the fact that the answers regurgitated by the LLM may not even be relevant/correct/up-to-date. I imagine this is how most people today treat LLMs.
They try to beat me, but I always see right through their act.

Home Video (VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, 4k)@feddit.uk•Disc market share for week ending in 2025-10-24: Fantastic Four and Mission: Impossible still rule the top spots
2·6 days agoMany reasons:
- Unawareness of, or indifference to, DVDs’ subpar video/audio quality.
- For most people, DVDs “just work”, unlike Blu-rays which require a lot of setup compared to DVD.
- Studios and manufacturers did a poor job of educating the public about the different formats.
- Streaming/digital is too convenient for the public to consider physical media.
- People are unable/unwilling to upgrade their tech.
- DVDs are cheaper and more ubiquitous than Blu-rays and 4K UHD discs.
He kinda had it coming.

2·12 days agoSeriously, I’ve never seen it by this much before.
This is probably a fluke, but this could be a game-changer.
They’re giving you a false sense of control so you don’t feel the need to block ads at all.
By Grabthar’s hammer…what an article.

Star Wars@lemmy.world•Leaks Show Theatrical Version Of Star Wars Being Restored In 4K
10·15 days agoYes, without the “Episode IV” subtitle where Han shoots first.
Technically, you can already watch this version thanks to the 4K77 fan project, but this leak hints at an official release by Disney of the original Star Wars.
The entire conversation is just an endless string of Family Guy cutaways.
There’s planned downtime every night when we turn on the Roomba and it runs over the cord.
Just give me all the pancakes you have. Wait, wait. I’m worried what you just heard was, “Give me a lot of pancakes.” What I said was, “Give me ALL the pancakes you have”. Do you understand?
