3·3 years agoYep! I’ve never understood those people that just wander round somewhere filming it all on their phone - you might as well just stay home and watch a video tour of the place online.

3·3 years agoYep, the thousands of people and the 3 inches of bullet-proof glass…
Amusingly when I went to see it (might still be the case I don’t know), if you wandered out of the room she’s in you could basically stand with your nose on his John the Baptist but almost no one was stood there looking at it.

2·3 years agoIt was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be too! The exact opposite of the Mona Lisa which was so much smaller than I expected for some reason (still not sure why I expected it to be large given it’s a portrait…).
Just started exploring the Fediverse (Mastodon first as an exile from the ‘bird that’s no longer a bird’ app and thought I’d have a look at Lemmy too. So far I must say I’m really enjoying them both!
