The closest I have found is Tim Ferriss’ 4-hour chef. It’s pretty cool cause it builds on skills rather than cuisines, and to be fair it’s more a book about learning to learn instead of being purely focused on cooking. But its pretty cool, give it a shot.

Hungary, Bulgaria

Good question. I used my kindle in the same way, and I found Koreader was just more feature rich (and snappier). The dark mode I was missing was back and when I opened it, it went straight to my library instead of a dumb storefront. It might not be worth the effort if you are satisfied with your experience of a kindle in airplane mode with your calibre library on there, but I enjoy the features and the open source aspect.
(Edit: I forgot to mention that I now use a Kobo Clara color after my old oasis died)

Well sure, that’s why we should all be using koreader (on every device not just Kobo)

Always bet on incompetence

Ok I’ll bite. What’s the name of the banking family?

China is still bankrolling RU and the EU is still purchasing RU energy, so there are still funds to be had
Ah ok, so do you carry a smartphone as well? I wonder what it would be like to completely rely on the bigme

The guy who was involved in the plot to assasinate Hitler?
Cool! What made you chose that over something like the boox that is the same form factor but without phone functionality?

Ok I get what you mean. But what was the realistic alternative when (like another poster mentioned) everyone is partly complicit and society has to be rebuilt? Who can the chief surgeon of the hospital be replaced with? Everyone professionally competent in any position of esteem has to have been at least partially complicit or compliant with the previous regime. Historical context is important because I think it is a near impossible task. Pol pot killed everyone, de-Baathification created more of a mess (both efforts to weed things out later, presumably using Germany as a bad example).

Honest question, what was wrong with the denazification that was carried out? Did they have any historical example to compare to?

Well sure, but also like, the real police stations like in Hungary.

Roxon and Nextool?

Yeah I know, I just thought they would take time to respond to a weird niche post to liven up the community a little since nothing else is going on

As I didn’t get any replies I tried my luck with the “perplexity” app. With R1 reasoning it actually gave a pretty good response:
For fans of Blood Incantation’s themes of consciousness, cosmic mystery, and extraterrestrial life, here are eight speculative fiction novels that dive into similarly profound and otherworldly territory:
A sentient ocean on a distant planet probes human consciousness, manifesting physical embodiments of repressed memories and emotions. This philosophical masterpiece interrogates humanity’s ability to comprehend truly alien intelligence[1][2][5].
A crew investigates an alien entity in deep space, confronting the unsettling idea that consciousness might be an evolutionary dead end. Combines hard sci-fi rigor with existential dread about non-sentient intelligence[2][5].
After an alien “visit,” hazardous Zones littered with incomprehensible artifacts force humans to grapple with cosmic indifference. A gritty exploration of humanity’s smallness in a vast universe[5].
A Jesuit-led mission to an alien planet unravels due to cultural miscommunication, blending faith, ethics, and the perils of first contact. Nuanced and devastating[1][4][5].
Radio signals from Vega prompt a scientific quest to decode alien messages, juxtaposing empirical rigor with spiritual wonder. A cornerstone of first-contact narratives[1][5].
A Himba girl brokers peace with jellyfish-like Meduse aliens using ancestral technology and empathy. Themes of hybridity, communication, and cultural bridging resonate with Blood Incantation’s fusion of brutality and transcendence[1].
A fractured reality, divine visions, and cosmic conspiracies blur in this semi-autobiographical meditation on gnosticism and the nature of existence. Perfect for fans of metaphysical disorientation[2].
Benevolent Overlords guide humanity toward an evolutionary leap, interrogating utopianism and the cosmic unknown. Clarke’s haunting prose mirrors Blood Incantation’s atmospheric depth[5].
These works share Blood Incantation’s fascination with humanity’s fragility in the face of cosmic vastness, the limits of perception, and the interplay between intellect and transcendence. Pair with Timeghoul or Demilich for maximum existential immersion.
