That only had 262 people aboard the flight though.

I had a colleague that is legally blind in my second real job. The dude is brilliant (and hilarious) but these things would significantly enable or screw up his productivity. I have always felt fortunate to have had direct butt in seat exposure to the importance of accessibility at such a young age.

I’m all for protesting and fighting for active change. My fear is it turning into a bunch of progressive voters protesting with their vote and the destruction that could create in the advancement of progressive views say ten to twenty years from now. If somehow trump is reelected the results will be disastrous. That’s not an excuse for Biden and certainly shouldn’t be a platform for him or any other Democrat. Showing the electorate that their is a strong reliable voting block of progressives through support of policy and candidates will promote a progressive shift over time. While not nearly perfect that has been on display for years now. Candidates are going to continue to try to secure votes, it’s what they do. Republicans are in crazy fascist mode because their is a reliable voting base that loves the narcissistic hate and racism. Young and old progressives, but especially young, voter’s showing they are reliable voters will provide a foundation in which the party is incentivized to put up more and more progressive candidates. The reliance on republicans who are never trumpers and racist bigoted independents prevents true progressive candidates from being successful politicians. The only fix available in the current day climate is to show a stronger and growing progressive voter base. I am of the belief Nikki Haley is positioning her self as the defecto candidate come next election cycle and she’s nearly as concerning as trump. I am really hoping that Biden is able to secure the election and progressive’s show engagement not only on the primary but also down year elections and these same social protests outside of election years so a more progressive candidate can come forward. A shift has to happen, no party is going to put up a candidate that hasn’t shown their is a reliable pool of voters for.

My best friend who was big into Harley’s loaned me a zip up hoodie on a cold night a long time ago told me to keep it. He was kia oversees years back. I’ve never rode a motorcycle in my life and never will but I’m going to wear that hoodie several times a year until I’m no longer upright. I’d even pay good money to get it fixed if something happened to it.

It makes me feel really dumb when I watch this stuff. The entire time I try to be open minded. I’m left being impressed with the individuals ability to research and articulate an obviously very thoroughly studied topic. They are obviously intelligent, I guess more so than I can relate, because all I am left with from the content is how pointless of a topic it is. No kidding words that we created are a method of communicating within the environment we exist. It’s like the stupid boat example, most generally when referring to the boat people are referring to the one registered, just as he said in the video. The others made from the scraps are boats made from the removed components of that registered vessel. None of this stuff seems complicated to me. He and others even seem aware of the pointless ridiculousness of it when he discusses the eyelash in the fridge example. So I’m left feeling that I’m obviously too stupid to understand the value, or objective, in such a pointless pursuit where everyone already recognizes conditions to words apply to communication while somehow finding value in beating the horse to death and picking it to death, for what I imagine is some goal I just can’t understand.

politics @lemmy.world•30 Things Joe Biden Did as President You Might Have Missed
5·2 years agoI feel like these should all establish a trajectory that very well aligns with the countries younger generation:
- Over the counter birth control
- Office of gun violence prevention
- Financial fee crackdown
- Inflation reduction act
- Assistance to smaller food producers
- Consequences to colleges drowning students in debt
- Chips and sciences act
- Access to medication without in person visits, including anti depressants, gender affirming care, and opioid addiction
- worker protections for union busting
I’m not a blowhard but I think this country could be in a really great place if this kind of progressive push continues with another Biden administration that would hopefully open the gates for an even more progressive eight years with his successor. The continued snuffing out of regressive views and bolstering a growing progressive shift in this country is exciting to think about. As much as I would like faster progress, and I admittedly voted for Biden as a vote against trump last cycle, I will be voting for him again because he’s exceeded my expectations. He’s laying a foundation this countries youth can build on and run away with. It’s not perfect but neither is this country. The aperture is opening up though.
So they’re just going to leave the dead rotting corpse hanging from the ceiling? How is that better?
Only adding because you said you aren’t a native speaker and thought you might want to know:
- It’s caught not cought
- The referenced playground game is typically referred to as Tag as far as I am aware
- We would always refer to your example of “house” as “home”, “base”, or “home base”
- And I’m guessing “whole beeing” at the end was just a typo but in case it wasn’t, the correct use would be “while being”
Again, I’m not trying to critique anything, everything you wrote was perfectly understandable, especially with context, I just felt you might appreciate the information.
