1·3 years agoMy daughter just graduated from Kindergarten! I am so proud of how far she has come, but she is already anxious about Grade One. Does anyone have advice on how to help with that?

Diablo@lemmy.world•Do I push through the main quest or complete a lot of sidequests in D4English
6·3 years agoNot really, getting the story done faster gets you the horse which helps and the side quests can all be done after the fact.

Diablo@lemmy.world•Do I push through the main quest or complete a lot of sidequests in D4English
10·3 years agoI would blast through the main story and save the side quests for later.
You could group them and look at everything “outdoors” related from multiple communities in a single feed.
I hope that with future versions of lemmy they can create “lists” that people can subscribe to that will do this.
or at least let you add communities to your own lists that do that.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Jerboa and Lemmy instance incompatible versions after today's updateEnglish
1·3 years agoI think part of the problem is the big influx of people. They weren’t prepared and now they are trying their best to keep up.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•"However you can subscribe from another Fediverse account, for example Lemmy or Mastodon" I've been trying to do this for ten minutes and still can't figure it outEnglish
1·3 years agoIn order to subscribe to another instances communities you still need to be on your community. For example if you click a link that takes you to https://lemmy.ml/c/announcements it will take you to lemmy.ml where you are not logged in, however if you click on the community name is a post that shows up in your feed, you will browse that community FROM lemmy.world.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•A guide for Discord screen sharing on waylandEnglish
2·3 years agoI just set up obs as a virtual webcam and do that. It doesn’t do audio but most of the time that doesn’t matter. I find it has a much smaller performance hit that screen sharing via Discord itself.

Games@lemmy.world•Should we make communities for specific games?English
1·3 years agoI think it depends on the game and community migration from reddit.
Deep Rock Galactic and Hunt: Showdown both seem to be picking up steam on their own communities in the fediverse.

Deep Rock Galactic@lemmy.world•When you joined the DRG Lemmy community early and get to watch it grow
4·3 years agoRONK AND STONK!
Blocking communities easily should be a priority for devs.
Both myself and my wife really enjoyed it. I have played D&D for a long time and my wife had never had any interest in it.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•is there a way for me to block an instance?
2·3 years agoNot at this point. Unless you run your own instance.
I was playing Hunt: Showdown without issue this morning.
Just looking at bands and people at shows I go to I see pretty much everything. Can’t really nave a not metal haircut IMO.

If you can wait a bit you can get sync for lemmy.
