I can confirm that the offense doubles with every term you look up
Are they any good for scrambled or devilled eggs?
Do they taste like chicken eggs?

7·1 day agoIf you read the draft bill, you’re probably more informed than most people in the thread, plus the article writer, and some of the people who voted on the bill.

2·2 days agoIs it actually possible to request deletion of something on someone else’s computer over the internet, and guarantee that its gone?

5·2 days agoThere’s definitely a bot with a user agent like “fedi big data” doing some scraping in my server logs, does anyone know who that is?

3·2 days agoIf your instance goes down, then you have no way of deleting your federated posts on your own. So the posts on my lemmynsfw alt will be up forever.
If you did this you’d become a millionaire not a trillionaire because nobody would ever buy a new one.
Gotta build some planned obsolescence in there if you want a trilly
Thanks, I guess measuring the other way only makes sense in the community based threadiverse.
Does a piefed account that only posts on Lemmy count as a piefed or a Lemmy user?
The later people are paying to join and sustain an existing and thriving community built by the earlier people.

Fediverse@piefed.social•What fediverse/social network concept/feature/UI do you enjoy the most?
2·4 days agoThat was a bit off topic I guess. I really like how accessible the fediverse is by design, and how easy it is to curate an interesting feed.
Helps that I have a fairly typical set of hobbies for the fedi demographic.

3·4 days agoAdmins with access to the database and logs are free to run their own analytics, and share data with whoever they want. There also seems to be a few bots attempting to scrape all available data on the fediverse.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•There should be an indicator when an instance no longer federates with a community besides posts no longer loading
8·5 days agoI feel like there should be an “are you alive” federation activity in activitypub, as well as an “I’m back” activity.
Servers go up and down enough that maybe it should be part of the spec
Go low tech, use libreoffice or something to make some card layouts, populate the fields from the CSV with a mail merge, print them and pin them to a wall.
This probably avoids an IT call because you should have these things already available.
