I think you should press the cross-post button instead of a new post and copy-pasting the link into it.

I was using Winget, then I realised everything is user specific, so I went straight back to Chocolatey.

I’m genuinely confused.

The creator of Libreboot created GNU Boot to help them (who?), but he also states it’s an old, bug ridden version, then receives a takedown notice from them (again, someone not GNU or FSF, but a French company?) so he rebrands GNU Boot to non-GeNUIneboot) and the 5th link on that website is a link to GNU Boot page on the Libreboot site.

What is going on?

When this goes ahead, and it probably will, I hope that every single app implements it in a totally different, unfriendly, unautomated, way, or even better, make it unique per person, per app. Or, even multiple methods that are only available at certain times of certain days. It’ll be absolutely useless to the government if they have to wade through mud to get at the data.
