My own art gallery. Started feeling the ick about posting on social media and just moved everything to my own hand-coded home page in Lustre. Feels nice to have a little space that’s just mine.

It ain’t much, but I’m also pretty proud of my Forgejo+actions setup. Pushing a commit and seeing my services update, knowing it’s all happening on “my” (VPS, but still) infra gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling.

Likewise, if we accept anecdotal evidence, many users report losing understanding of their codebase after letting an LLM do substantial changes for them. Architecture drift is a common problem, too.

LLMs are trained on public code, much of it subpar, so it stands to reason that they are prone to regurgitating security vulnerabilities.

I am not including the plethora of ethical issues with LLMs, which I assume you do not care about coming from a purely utilitarian although short-sighted perspective.

Gotta be honest, I got fed up and just… shut down my server when conduwuit died. I might come back to matrix if the ecosystem becomes less of a joke, but I’m really not holding my breath about it. Community drama is the worst.

Honestly, pleasantly surprised that this piece of software exists. I didn’t think that Microsoft’s policy of “shove ‘AI’ into as many places as possible” was compatible with things such as having a functional text editor.

honestly i kinda get their reasoning… it’s extra jank, extra complexity and a maintenance burden that shouldn’t be necessary if apps stopped dragging their feet about proper wayland support. niri instead focuses on the rest of the experience and honestly? they’re doing a pretty great job because it’s super fuckin comfy to use and customize, at least for me.

xwayland-satellite is the recommended way to run X11 apps, which are unfortunately still many, on niri. is that “setting my house on fire”? really confused here.
