You perfectly described a feeling that I didn’t even have the words for until now. Gender rotting is something I definitely feel too. For me, its so twisted because when I start to give up on being happy, sometimes the people around me clearly become more comfortable with me. I don’t like being ‘rewarded’ for not having the effort to maintain my own happiness.

Are there any study’s or research on if this belief is true or not? I’m genuinely curious because I think I may believe this too and want to know if it’s something I should question
